When Is Qurbani Performed?

Qurbani is a sacred act of worship carried out during Eid al‑Adha, honouring the devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). To ensure your Qurbani is valid and accepted, it must be performed within the correct Islamic dates each year.

In 2026, Eid al‑Adha is expected to fall around Sunday 28 June 2026 (subject to moon sighting).

This means Qurbani can only be performed on:

  • 10th Dhul Hijjah – Eid day
  • 11th Dhul Hijjah
  • 12th Dhul Hijjah

These are the only days when the sacrifice is valid.

Can You Donate Before These Dates?

Yes — and it’s recommended.

While the sacrifice itself must happen during the three days of Eid, you can donate your Qurbani well in advance. Early donations help charities prepare animals, organise teams, and ensure every Qurbani is carried out on time and distributed to families who need it most.

Donating early avoids last‑minute delays and ensures your Qurbani is completed smoothly.

Fulfil Your Qurbani for 2026

Save An Orphan performs every Qurbani:

  • On the correct days of Dhul Hijjah
  • In full accordance with Islamic guidelines
  • With care, dignity, and transparency
  • For families facing poverty, crisis, and hardship

Your Qurbani provides fresh meat to those who rarely enjoy it at any other time of the year.

May Allah accept your sacrifice and bring relief to every family who benefits from it.
