Donate Interest Money

Many Muslims receive interest on their bank accounts or savings without wanting it. Because Riba (interest) is prohibited in Islam, this money cannot be used for personal benefit - but it must be removed from your wealth in a responsible way.

Donating interest money is the simplest and safest way to dispose of it while helping people in need.

Why Donate Interest Money?

Islam teaches us to avoid Riba, but when interest is added automatically, scholars advise that it should be given away to the poor.

This is not considered Sadaqah or Zakat, and it carries no spiritual reward - but it does purify your wealth and brings relief to those facing hardship.

How Your Donated Interest Helps

At Save An Orphan, donated interest is used only for essential welfare, such as:

  • Food for struggling families
  • Medical aid
  • Clean water
  • Emergency support

We never use interest money for religious items like Qur’ans, mosques, or dawah projects.
