Fidya and Kaffarah are obligatory payments to be made if you are unable to fast due to old age, illness, pregnancy or travelling or if you’ve deliberately missed or broken a fast.
It costs £4 for each missed fast and £120 If you are unable to fast for the full duration of Ramadan.
You should pay Kaffarah when you deliberately break or miss a fast. You must make this up by either fasting for 60 continuous days or by feeding 60 people in need.
We use your donations towards helping struggling orphans and their communities get the help they desperately need through providing nutritious meals.
Give Fidya if you miss fasts due to illness and are unable to make them up.
If you miss without a valid reason you should pay your Kaffarah as soon as possible.
Both Fidya and Kaffarah can only be given to the poor and needy.
